One Year

One Year

It’s been one year since our family dog has passed away. Every day I think about him and we all miss him so much.

Having a pet become a member of your family is a wonderful experience. Our boy was a rescue dog that we adopted and it was the best $500 we’ve ever spent. The rescue shelter had little information about him so we don’t know exactly how old he was when we got him, but they thought maybe around five years old.

He was found on the streets of Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma and spent his remaining years here in New Jersey with our family.

He was such a good dog, very gentle with my kids and always stayed close to them. His name was Rocket and he loved eating, sleeping, and jumping up onto the couch or the beds.

One thing about him though, he had the worst doggy gas I’ve ever smelt.

We miss you everyday our Cheeba.

Rocket sounds like he was such a sweet and loving part of your family, and that story about his “doggy gas” made me smile. Sending you love and comfort as you remember him
