This is my latest painting that I’ve just finished a few days ago and it’s called The Monarch Butterfly Invasion. It took me about a month or so to get this piece done and it’s loaded with tons of details.
This was pretty fun to work on, the monarch butterflies were my favorite to paint along with the caterpillars.
I went a little crazy and added
- 11 monarch butterflies
- 6 caterpillars
- 5 bumble bees
- Lots of flowers
This painting is a coverup of the original piece I was working on but then I lost interest in. The first painting was supposed to be of a phoenix fire bird in like an abstract form, but it didn’t work out.

I don’t like to let paintings go to waste, even if they do come out like crap. I always try my best to turn them into something else new and different.
For this coverup, I went with a nature theme because that’s not something I’d normally paint.

I like it, I think it came out better than the original phoenix painting and I didn’t have to waste my canvas.
I’m already working on my next painting and taking a break from the nature perspective, sort of.
This year, I’m pushing myself with my artwork and challenging myself to not give up on this like I usually do.
So far for 2025 I’ve completed six new paintings and I sold two older paintings I made a while back. This may sound like nothing but to me, this is the beginning!
Maybe one day this can actually turn into a very very small business while I’m putting myself through college.
