Hiya, and welcome to my attempt at blogging! Let’s get right into the introduction and what this blog is going to be about.
My name is Meghan. I am 32 years old, I live in New Jersey, and I wear hats. What that means is that I have different roles/jobs in my everyday life. I thought it would be a cool idea to share what my life is like – things that I do now and what I used to do when I was free. “Free” meaning a time in my life where I didn’t have to be responsible, just wild.
About ten years ago at some random house party, I met a man who told me that I wear a lot of different hats. I wasn’t wearing a hat at the time, so I asked him, “What do you mean?” His response was “Have you never heard of this expression before?” Then he cracked open a Coors Light bottle and explained it to me.
To wear many hats is to have different jobs or roles. I didn’t understand what this expression meant at the time, you don’t really pay attention in your twenties. Now I am 32 years old and a mother of two beautiful children, I understand what it means to wear many hats. My collection has grown over the years and I’m sure that it will continue as time passes.
These are my day-to-day hats:
- Mother
- Artist
- Dumpster Diver
- Mentally Ill
- Gardener
- Chef
- Explorer
- Thriftier
- Technologist
- College Student
- Collector
And then I have my retired hats collection:
- Bartender
- Professional House Cleaner
- Hotel Maid
- Personal Assistant
- Pantry Chef
I have an interesting life with lots of personal stories to share, photos included.
Some other random things about myself:
- Listens to 60s,70s music
- Doesn’t wear makeup or style hair
- Never flown on an airplane
- Animal lover

- Disgusted by Jell-O
